Last year on 14th November 2022, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security discontinued the eDirham service, and now the payments will be managed by the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHRE).

Now, the UAE Government is encouraging citizens to use alternative payment methods, including Mastercard, Visa card, Apply Pay, and Google Pay services, to keep up with the innovative service methods being introduced and adopted in the world.

What is ICA Smart Services (ICP Smart Services)?

ICA Smart Services is a centralized platform for all UAE Citizens, GCC nationals, and Expats where they can access important information regarding Emirates ID, Visa services, Payments Info, and other important information. You can visit the ICA Website anytime, and it is accessible 24/7.

Every individual category-related information is available on ICP Website, such as:

  • UAE Residents: The residents of the UAE can apply for their Emirates ID, residency, and visa services through the ICP website either for themselves or they can also sponsor any of their family members.
  • UAE Citizens: UAE Citizens can apply for ID services, passports, or family books, and they can also sponsor anyone as well.
  • GCC Residents: They can apply for entry visas related to any country and can administer the visa once issued.

  • A new policy has been made to restrict the application renewal if the residence visa’s remaining validity is more than 6 months.
  • Now, the visitors can get a 30-day one-time visa extension on their 90-day tourist visa.
  • For those GCC Nationals without an Emirates ID, their visa information will be amended, and their visas will be canceled.
  • Residence and printing visa details in the accounts of the visa holder have been updated.
  • The guidelines for extending the tenure of the visit visa for a single entry or multiple entries for 90, 60, or 30 days for your relatives or friends and for pre-entry visas have been updated.
  • Now, a fee of 100 AED will be charged while accessing the ICP Smart Services.
  • For identity requests, an additional request number which is PRAN Number has been added along with facilities fund services, verification mechanisms, and other related features and stopping delegates’ services.
  • The new guidelines have also been issued for people who have been residing outside the UAE for more than 6 months.
  • An increase in the staying tenure for 60 to 180 days for families visiting UAE for tourism and medical checkups while accompanying any patient, no matter whether it’s a single entry visa or multiple entry visa.

  • Giving relaxation for Biometrics and ICAO in the procedure of Emirates ID while applying online.

Overstay Fine Check and Visa Fine Enquiry

Once your UAE Visa has expired and you haven’t renewed it even after the grace period, you’ll be charged a fine of 50 AED per day, and it’s mandatory to clear your fines before leaving UAE.

ID Card Status Check

ICP Smart Services also provides you with the option with which you can easily check your Emirates ID Status online without going anywhere else.

Follow the steps below to check your ID card status.

  • Step 1: Visit the official ICP Smart Services website.
  • Step 2: Click on “Check ID Card Status.”
  • Step 3: Enter your “PRAN or IDN Number.”

  • Step 1: Go to the ICP’s website, and on the top right side, click on “File Validity.”
  • Step 2: Enter your “Emirates Unified Number,” select your Nationality, enter your “Date of Birth,” and click enter. You’ll be able to see your visa validity.

Changing Your Mobile Number

Updating Your Emirates ID Details

According to the UAE Government, if there’s any change in your personal details, you must notify the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security within 30 days from the date of the change.

It can either be any change in name (wife’s name) after the marriage in case of some nationalities. You can update the details online on the ICP website or through UAEICP App available on Google and iOS Stores without any need to submit any physical documents.

ICA Smart Services: Arrival Registration

According to resources, now there’s no need for pre-entry registration on the ICP website while traveling to UAE. Anyhow other requirements must be followed.

Vaccine Registration

In order to visit UAE, you must be fully vaccinated, and you’ll need to provide proof of a negative PCR test within 14 days before entering UAE. In order to submit the proof, you can submit your details either on the ICP website or using Al Hosn App.

  • Step 2: Now, fill in the forms one by one. The forms are Applicant Information, Passport Information, Vaccine Information, and Attachments Info.

Al Hosn App

Once you’ve entered the details of your vaccine at the ICP website, you’ll receive a link to download the Al Hosn App, or you can also download it manually from Google Play Store or iOS App Store.

Upon entering the airport or via ICP’s website, you’ll receive your Unified Identification Number (UID Number). You’ll need to register at the Al Hosn App using your UID and mobile numbers.

Once you enter the details, you’ll receive an OTP on your mobile. Enter the OTP on your app, and you’ll be registered. Now, you can check your Covid-19 status, test results, vaccine information, and other information.

Once everything is done, you’ll receive a QR Code in your email, with which you’ll just need to scan your QR code at bus stations and metro, and your details will be fetched automatically.
